Vadodara: Sandeep Jagdane, a 50-year-old man residing in Kevdabaug locality of Navapura, committed suicide in the wee hours of Saturday by jumping off from third floor of his building here. He has blamed his wife for taking the extreme step in the suicide note found in his pocket.

Police said Jagdane first slit his wrist and then jumped from the third floor of Dwarkadish Complex at Kevdabaug. Jagdane's body was found around 7am by locals after which they informed police. On checking his pockets, a suicide note was found which he is believed to have written around 3am.

In the note, the deceased has made allegations against his wife. "My wife always told me to die and used to fight with me all the time. She used to shout at me and is involved in bad business and people are also aware about it," the note stated.

Police said they have taken Jagdane's wife's statement, but have not yet blamed her for Jagdane's step. "The suicide note is a matter of investigation. We will be taking statements of other members of the family and neighbours then only a conclusion can be reached," said a police official investigating the case. Jagdane's brother Satyen told the police that the couple was not getting along since quite some time.

Jagdane worked as a peon at a private school on VIP Road and has an 18-year-old son.

A case of accidental death was registered at Navapura police station.
