Meghan Markle is a ‘STRONG WOMAN’ and will be a royal ’BEACON’, claims actor Idris Elba
MEGHAN Markle is a “strong woman” and will be a royal “beacon”, Hollywood star Idris Elba claimed.
The British star of Luther and The Wire, has heaped praise on Prince Harry’s fiancee prior to the couple’s wedding next year.
He said: "Meghan Markle, as a person, regardless of her colour, is a role model.
"As a strong woman marrying into our royal family, she's going to be a role model for any woman - black, white.
"The point is that of course our society is one of mixed heritage and it's nice to see Meghan within the royal family.

"It's great. And of course she's going to be a beacon and of course she's going to be someone that people look towards.
“Our country is built on our monarchy, we love our monarchy and it's good to be connected."
The actor made the comments before attending a dinner at Buckingham Palace with Prince Charles last night.
Mr Elba was joined by his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre in addition to Emeli Sande where the trio celebrated the work of the Prince’s Trust - Ms Sande also performed at the event.
The actor and former beneficiary of the charity credited the Trust for kickstarting his career.
Mr Elba added: "If I hadn't got that money I wouldn't ever have gone into that theatre show, I wouldn't have had that experience of being in a professional theatre, and I probably wouldn't be standing here today.

"So I know that The Prince's Trust is a great charity and a great place to nurture children, young people, that just need a little direction.
"And they've proved it for 40 years. I'm partly one of their success stories if you like, and it's good that I can be a beacon for others."
The Prince’s Trust was set up by Prince Charles in 1976 and was supported by Idris Elba in the 1980s.

The Prince of Wales used the £7,400 he received in severance pay to find a number of community schemes that ended up being the founding projects of the initiative.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the charity last year - Prince Charles set out to raise £40million, a target that has now been hit.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announce their royal engagement last month and are due to marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May next year.
