A special postal cover, designed to commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebration of the MBBS class of 1967-71 at the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in New Delhi, was released here on Tuesday.
A brainchild of Prof Amit Banerjee, a student of the same batch who is senior most among Maulanians and presently Vice-Chancellor of the SOA here, the special postal cover would also have a Rs 5 stamp of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on it.
The special cover was presented by Assistant Director (Legal Cell and Philately) of the India Post Department Jagadish Das to principal advisor to the president of the SOA Prof DP Ray at a function held at the Khandagiri sub-post office.
