25 Jamaat-Shibir men held in Satkhira

Satkhira: Police arrested 59 people, including 25 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir along with a district Jamaat leader, from different parts of the district early Friday.

Detainee Mawlana Abdul Bari, 55, the district working committee member of Jamaat-e-Islami, was held in Jhaudanga area in Sadar upazila.  

There are three sabotage cases against Abdul Bari, confirmed district detective branch of police officer in-charge Ali Ahmed Hashmi.
