Liam Gallagher is living a second life as a Twitter celebrity, thanks to his sweary, rants-laden posts in which he often lashes out at his brother Noel.
But this Christmas has softened the legendary, bantering Mancunian — though it's for a good cause.
Gallagher is narrating an alternative Christmas ad from the Climate Coalition, warning about the dire consequences of climate change.
“It’s winter, and it’s cold this time of year isn’t it?” Gallagher says in the clip with his northern accent. “Maybe you want to snuggle up with a hot chocolate or wrap up warm and wear your biggest coat. But in the grand scheme of things, our Earth is too hot, and it’s getting even hotter."
"But we have hope, because we know that we can change things...if everyone does their bit."
The animated advert, part of the Coalition's "Show The Love" campaign and produced by photographer Rankin, shows a snowman melting as Earth gets warmer.
Rankin says: “We were over the moon to have the iconic voice of Liam to give the piece a twist and really get it noticed.”
