Kilpatrick has joined the ranks of creators who have used the digital space to fashion unique stories that have crossed over into the TV world. With her roots set in theater, Kilpatrick is a new voice in the industry that deserves your ear, giving us a fresh point of view with her two shows.

Listen to Amanda N’Duka and me talk with Kilpatrick about her inspiration behind The Climb, a show about two friends seeking Internet fame and how she teamed with Viola Davis for American Koko, which follows the E.A.R. (Everybody’s A little bit Racist) Agency as they handle sticky racial situations in and around Los Angeles.
