Reported worries about the 59-year-old’s health came after she admitting to feeling “like a zombie” during this week’s gruelling training schedule.

“On Tuesday I was like a zombie,” she confessed to the Daily Star. “I was brain dead and physically washed out.”

The publication claimed that Strictly Come Dancing bosses are desperately hoping that Debbie McGee recovers in time for the final.

However, a representative for the star told Express.co.uk: "Debbie has been under the weather this week but it will not affect her appearing in the final this weekend."

Yesterday, Debbie made another worrying admission as she revealed that she had been forced to pull out of training sessions this week.

The former magician’s assistant, who is juggling pantomime and Strictly rehearsals, failed to turn up to practice on two occasions as she faced the daunting task of having to perfect three routines for the grand final tomorrow.

“I haven’t been very well, I had what everyone else has got so we’ve had even less time,” she told Chris Evans on his BBC Radio 2 show.

The weather was also against Debbie, as she continued: “I got snowed in on Sunday, so we missed that whole day then as well.”

However, with no evidence that she plans to drop out, she continues to train with her partner Giovanni Pernice, 27, and voice her anticipation for their last dances together.

The pair will perform two routines which they have previously showcased on the much-loved BBC dance programme, one chosen by them and one by the judges, and a final showdance, designed to dazzle the judges and viewers at home.
