Ngo Hoai Chung, the deputy head of the VNAT stated that recently Vietnam and India have witnessed significant developments in terms of tourism cooperation along with bilateral growing comprehensive strategic collaboration and traditional friendship.
He said that countless tourism promotional activities have been performed successfully within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
For Indian tourists, Vietnam has lately become a popular destination, while India for Vietnamese people is one of the most favorable places to explore.
Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister at the time of his visit to Vietnam on September 2016, the two sides highlighted the bilateral cooperation in tourism.
Chung explained that Vietnam considers India as a priority tourism market. Hence, the Southeast Asian country has introduced many activities to discover all the facets of this market, endorse tourism products and services, and connect via trade fairs and exhibitions.
The VNAT has synchronized with Vietnam and Indian embassies along with businesses to arrange conferences related to tourism, aviation and cinema as well as welcome Indian film makers in Vietnam to talk about their experiences in creating new products.
He stated that Vietnam is an unwavering at the same time a peaceful nation with emerging economy, ecological diversity and gorgeous landscapes. The country brags of a shoreline of 3,200kms with poetic beaches and unique culture and world cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. Vietnamese people are responsive and friendly.
Businesses talked about various opportunities at the programme. India’s travel companies expressed their inclination in the tourism market of Vietnam which holds many unexploited potentials.
