
Public speaking reigning world champ in city today

KOCHI: Manoj Vasudevan, the reigning world champion in public speaking, will be here on Friday to interact with the toastmasters' fraternity in Kerala. The world championship of public speaking is an annual contest held by Toastmasters International. The programme is being hosted by Kochi Toastmasters Club and is open to the public.
The venue for the event will be Athulya Auditorium, Kochi Infopark and the event is scheduled to start at 6.30 pm. The event leaders are Vineeth R., the current Division Leader and Thomas Mathew, Kochi Toastmasters' Club current president. Manoj won the contest in 2017 after making it through the several elimination rounds which had 30,000 contestants from 142 countries in the fray in the beginning.
An engineering graduate from the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (CET) and an MBA from London's Imperial College, Manoj has authored a tome titled ‘Leadership Lessons from the Mousetrap’. For information on local Toastmasters clubs, please visit www.toastmasters.org
