Chhattisgarh's Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Kedar Kashyap on Thursday called on Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawarchand Gehlot at Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi.
Kashyap, on the occasion, handed over proposal for establishing new ashram hostels and girls residential schools in the State.
He said that new residential schools should be opened for promoting education in remote areas of State and submitted a proposal in that context to Union Minister.
Kashyap handed over letter to the Union Minister regarding inclusion of Mehra caste of Chhattisgarh into Scheduled Caste. the Union Minister instructed officials in the context to take necessary action.
He also invited the Union Minister to visit Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Guru Ghasidas Jayanti on December 18.
