Vin Leger of EAG Studio believes in creating a look that lasts. He wouldn’t want someone to walk into 268 Mallorca Way 20 years from now and be able to tell a renovation took place in 2017.

“We put great effort to using timeless materials,” Leger said. “We don’t want to be too trendy or too flashy, but organic.”

EAG Studio accomplishes this by spreading hardwood flooring and built-ins across all four levels. There’s a long string of walnut posts in the living room that act as the staircase’s railing.

A walk-in pantry is concealed in the kitchen behind a wooden door, and a tile backsplash adorns the wall above the integrated cooktop. The kitchen revolves around a curved Calacatta Nuvo quartz island.

Studio D staged the home and employed a mix of neutral tones and vibrant colors to accentuate the interior.

“The home is a symphony of natural tones,” said Rebecca Schumacher of Sotheby’s International Realty, who is listing the home for $7 million.

A roof deck with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts tops the home. This deck is accessed via a retractable skylight on the top level. In addition to a full bathroom, the upper level offers a lounge that opens to an eastern terrace with city views. There’s also an office that leads to a west-facing terrace.

“The fourth level is simply magic,” Schumacher said.

One of Leger’s favorite finishes — a 10-foot LED light — lingers over the kitchen island. A 5-inch cavity above the light strip allows someone to display cookbooks or grow herbs.

Four bedrooms, including the master suite, occupy the third level. The floor also hosts three bathrooms and ample storage. Dual closets and a spa bathroom with a soaking tub, walk-in shower, dual vanities and a water closet complete the owner’s suite.

The lower level hosts the fifth bedroom and a bathroom, as well as a kitchen and family room that opens to a triangular yard with turf lawn. River stones fill the steel wall fence.
