TRS government’s support for MIM wrong, says BJP

KARIMNAGAR:  BJP state spokesperson Bandi Sanjay Kumar ridiculed MIM party and TRS party for jointly organising Muslim Personal Law Board public meeting in Karimnagar. TRS government should express their stand on Triple Talaq and Ayodhya Ram Mandir construction, he said.A day after Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi talked about the Triple Talaq issue, the BJP leader condemned Owaisi’s criticism against BJP government. Speaking to media on Thursday, he claimed that the Central government is taking steps to make a law against Triple Talaq  as per Supreme Court’s suggestion. The Act against Triple Talaq would be made compulsory, he added. The BJP government is striving hard for the welfare of Muslim women, he said.

When Terrorists attacks happen, all parties except MIM condemns it, Sanjay Kumar alleged, adding that the party has no respect for the national anthem or the tricolour. TRS party supporting MIM is not correct, he added. As a counter to the MIM public meeting, BJP will conduct Hindu Shankarravam in Karimnagar in December last week.

Asad asks Centre not to interfere in triple talaq issue
Hyderabad MP and MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi asked BJP government not to interfere in the triple talaq issue as it was a matter of the Muslim Personal Law Board. Therefore, the Central government should re-think about the act proposed law on triple talaq. On Wednesday night, the MIM leader addressed a public gathering at the Circus ground in Karimnagar.

He said they would abide by the Supreme Court’s judgment.  He said that district-wise meetings on Muslim Personal Law Board will be conducted and awareness would be created in the community, especially women. The proposed Act against the triple talaq indirectly damaged rights of Muslim women, Owaisi sadi, adding that they would conduct Mulim Personal Law Board meetings from February 9 to 11 in Hyderabad.
