Since the news of the latest royal engagement - between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle - was announced last month, the first question on everyone's mind was, "When's the date?"

Kensington Palace announced Friday that they will be married on May 19, 2018 at Windsor Castle.

But, of course, that date conflicts with a major English sporting event: the FA Cup final.

That's not really much of an issue for Prince Harry, but it is for his brother, Prince William, who has been president of the English Football Association since 2006 and traditionally attends.

Despite the conflict, people are excited about the royal wedding, and that includes the FA. More from the BBC:

Reacting to the clash with the cup match, an FA spokesman said the organisation was "delighted" for Prince Harry and Ms Markle.

He added: "Saturday 19 May promises to be a wonderful day with such a special royal occasion being followed by English football's showpiece event, the Emirates FA Cup Final.

"With millions coming together to watch both events at home and around the world, it will be a day to celebrate."
