Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m) “Image data analyst”

within the Neuroimmunology and Imaging group.

Project description:
The Neuroimmunology and Imaging group is interested in understanding the neuronal network mechanisms of learning and memory under healthy and sterile inflammatory conditions like Alzheimer's disease. We use cutting edge awake in vivo imaging in combination with optogenetic, chemogenetic and electrophysiological approaches. These techniques generate huge data sets that require bioinformatics to analyse image, behavior and electrophysiology data.

Your profile:
Successful candidates should hold a PhD in bioinformatics, mathematics, informatics, biology, biochemistry, biophysics or related disciplines. As a prerequisite the candidate should have experience with MATLAB, Python and machine learning algorithms. Creative, highly motivated applicants who are willing to develop new techniques and enjoy working independently as a member of a great team in a stimulating scientific environment are encouraged to apply.
