Pune: After engaging thousands of people in Baner, it is now time for residents of Kothrud to bask in the morning sun and enjoy the cool breeze.

This edition of Happy Streets will be held on the vehicle-free roads of Shrikant Thakare Path from Ashish Garden Chowk to Raja Kamal Departmental store on December 17 at 6.30am. On offer will be entertainment, sports and recreational activities.

For those looking forward to burning some calories, dance and Zumba workout sessions have been organized. Encouraging people to sing out loud, the VJ-live stage will host music and karaoke sessions where participants can jam with a band. However, if singing is not your forte, you can still prove your prowess in music by participating in drum circles.

Flash mob will provide an opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talent.

The various activities that are being held at 'Bachpan Gully' will keep the kids engaged and encourage them to socialize with others. Activities such as drawing, craft, hopping and skipping will provide a wonderful start to their Sunday morning.

Vilas Javdekar Developers and Sony Center will add colours to the event by distributing free balloons to participants.

After receiving an overwhelming response in previous episodes of the event, the Baner Balewadi Medico's Association has planned to run a campaign to raise awareness regarding cancer.

Happy Streets is an initiative started by The Times of India and Maharashtra Times in association with Pune Police and Pune Traffic Police. The event is powered by Vilas Javdekar Developers and aims to popularize the idea of vehicle-free roads for fun and engaging community activities.
