Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway flashes underwear as Strictly challenge goes wrong

GOOD Morning Britain viewers saw a bit more than they bargained for today.

One day before this weekend's spectacular , the Good Morning Britain presenters took on the Core Challenge.

The challenge comes after former show-stopping Argentine Tango last Saturday night.

It ended with his dance partner Katya Jones, 28, balancing Joe, 42, on her knees in a see-saw type motion.

It takes an awful lot of core strength and today Kate Garraway, 50, and Richard Arnold, 48, had a go.

Beforehand, Ben Shephard, 43, showed a behind-the-scenes look of the prep that went into it.

Taking to Instagram, Ben asked Kate if her dress had been pinned while she looked a little worried.

"The dress is pinned," she said, revealing the purple frock had a safety pin but, flashing her underwear, she added: "I've got something underneath, modesty shorts."

When it was time for Kate and Richard to do their own version, Charlotte Hawkins, 42, who competed in this year's Strictly, was on hand to watch over.

She and her dance partner Brendan Cole had proved they were Strictly Core Challenge pros on Instagram.

GOOD TRY: Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold had a go at the Strictly Core Challenge

Richard got into a shoulder stand while Kate grabbed his legs, with the support of Ben behind her.

Things looked like they were going well up until the last moment, when they ended up in a heap on the floor.

Kate was completely trapped between Richard's legs, who started spinning them both around.

He joked: "Children, try hard at school otherwise you'll end up doing this for a living!"

Ben and Charlotte were in hysterics trying and failing to get their co-stars untangled.

And weatherman Alex Beresford, 37, somehow managed to keep his composure, strolling back to his section for today's forecast.

Later in the episode, Richard tried the stunt with Judge Robert Rinder, 39, and, this time, was much more successful.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
