No one understands holiday stress better than a mom of four. While it's a time of cheer, 'tis the season of a never-ending to-do list, events, sickness and exhaustion.
Eden Morris of Spring, Texas, has a tip to get through: Take multivitamins. She's not a doctor but she is staying healthy while raising kids ages 16 to 9. Moms know that's not an easy task.
Morris, part of mom blog LaughingMoms.com, said taking multivitamins helps her stay alert and awake when she needs it the most, especially during the dreaded afternoon hours of after-school activities and homework. She also takes a vitamin C boost to prevent sickness from spreading through the family.
Her second line of defense: drinking water, a lot of it. It seems simple enough, but drinking water is easy to forget rushing between holiday parties. We already know water helps flush out toxins, supports younger-looking skin, wards off headaches and prevents fatigue, the first sign of dehydration.
So, Morris encourages moms and anyone else hoping to beat the holiday exhaustion (Santa? Are you reading?) to pack vitamins and a water bottle on those holiday adventures. As always, talk to your doctor about taking any supplements.
