The Bahujan Samaj Party on Thursday removed its Ghaziabad district president Prem Chand Bharti and expelled him from the party after the crushing defeat of the party in local bodies elections. The party appointed Vinod Kumar Pradhan as the new district president.
The new president Vinod Kumar Pradhan said that the party high command took the decision to expell the outgoing president after the humiliating defeat of the party candidates in local body election. BSP's Munni Chaudhary was the Mayoral candidate who contested the election effectively and was expected to win this prestigious seat but she stood at third place.
Party workers sent complaints to the party high command that the outgoing president Prem Chand Bharti sold party tickets and minted hefty money. He could select only 45 candidates in 100 wards of the Ghaziabad civiv body and only 13 party ward candidates could win the polls.
"After conducting secret survey of the complaints the high command decided to shunt him from the post of president and taking a further hard stand expelled his from the party" added Pradhan.
