Manchester City could win the Premier League title by 20 points.

That’s according to former Manchester United defender turned Sky Sports pundit Phil Neville.

Pep Guardiola’s side have won all but one of their league games this season and are currently 11 points clear of their fierce rivals in second.

They beat them in the Manchester derby last weekend and have been relentless going forward, scoring 52 goals so far.

Manchester United hold the record for the biggest title-winning margin, finishing 18 points clear of Arsenal in 2000, but Neville admits that City could be on their way to surpassing it.

“They’ve got to win the Premier League,” he said on The Debate.

“They could absolutely stroll it they are that good at this moment in time.”

“I was thinking today that if they carry on like this they could win the Premier League by 15 to 20 points.

“They could absolutely stroll it they are that good at this moment in time.

“Who’s going to beat them? Who’s going to actually go toe-to-toe with them and turn them over or get them to even draw a game?”

City have adapted to grind out results even when they’re struggling, with a number of late winners in recent weeks, leading to suggestions they could repeat Arsenal’s famous ‘invincibles’ season.

And Matthew Upson, who was discussing the subject alongside Neville, believes it’s a huge possibility due to the lack of serious threat.

“The average strength of teams is better,” he added.

“The investment across the board has become a bit fairer, clubs have more money to spend on top players.

“So far this season there isn’t another team that has hit a rhythm or is firing on all cylinders other than them.

“And I think you really do get challenged and you look at those teams like the United one (1990/2000), the Arsenal one (2003/04).

“They had a serious challenge from at least one other club when they went on those winning streaks or won those trophies and I just don’t see that against City quite at the moment.”

City are seeking their third Premier League title and their first trophy since Guardiola took charge last summer.

They return to action tomorrow as they host fourth-placed Tottenham at the Etihad.
