They said the committee is yet to be formed and no one has been authorised to air their views. "A few are portraying themselves as supporters and alliance partners of the AIADMK and appearing in television channels. Their comments are not the views of the party," Palaniswami and Panneerselvam said. "Only those appointed to the committee would participate in the debates as official representatives of the party and defend the party on several issues and propagate the good work of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma's government. The names would be announced soon," the two leaders had said in their earlier statement.



It may be recaled that the AIADMK under the leadership of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa was the first regional party in Tamil Nadu to constitute a committee of media panelists in 2016. After her death, the party got split and was recently united under the leadership of OPS and EPS. Since then, the CM and the deputy CM are cautious about the image of the party.
