Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received Dr. Taleb Al-Rifai, the Secretary General of the UNWTO at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday who is leaving the Kingdom at the end of his term. The King also received Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yunus Demirer, who is leaving the Kingdom at the end of his term.
Dr. Taleb Rifai who bade farewell to the King at the end of his term, thanked the King for his wonderful efforts in supporting the UNWTO, stressing the Kingdom’s great status and its appreciation being enjoyed globally.
The King said that the Kingdom aims to occupy an important position in global tourism map, pointing to the universality of tourism and its importance in education, acquaintance and a number of fields. The audience was attended by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior.
