Good Morning Britain presenter threatens to quit after forcing show into awkward silence

GOOD Morning Britain didn't go very well for one of the presenters today.

Kate Garraway, who was presenting alongside Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, made a series of on air gaffes today.

The poor TV host accidentally left the show in silence as she missed her cue to read out today's headlines.

While she quickly picked up on her line, her blunder didn't go unnoticed and she was quickly scolded by Susanna.

HAVING A MARE: Kate had a particularly bad show today

It seems that Kate may have been on social media at the wrong time, as she posted on her Twitter asking for fans to sum up Star Wars in one tweet.

Whoops.

Later in the show, Kate also mispronounced football team Brighton & Hove Albion, calling them Brighton Hove & Albion.

EARLY RETIREMENT: Kate said she was going to give up and retire

Finally she also announced the Scottish team Celtic had won their game 3-0 at Hamilton when they had actually won 3-1.

She then said: "I’m going to retire for a while and cry."

Ben hit back: "If only."

USUAL PRESENTERS: It looks like it could be just Susanna and Piers from now on

Luckily, it seems that Kate was only joking as she eventually pulled herself together and carried on with the show.

Thank goodness for that…although we hear I'm A Celebrity winner Georgia Toffolo is looking for a job?
