Kohima, Dec. 14 (EMN): The 19th session of the twelfth Nagaland Legislative Assembly began today with obituary references made by the speaker, Dr. Imtiwapang Aier to the passing away of former members Kiyaneilie Peseyie, N. Yeangphong Konyak, Viyekha Rengm and Kiyelho Sema. The members also observed a 2-minute silence in memory of the departed souls.
Chief minister, T.R Zeliang laid the 50th (2015-16) and 51st (2016-17) annual report of the Nagaland Public Service Commission, annual report of the Nagaland Information Commission 2015-16 and 2016-17 and the Nagaland School Education Service Rules 2017.
He also presented the audit report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) on the account of Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board for the year 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Parliamentary secretary for Mineral Development Corporation Limited, Vikho Yhoshü laid the annual report of the corporation of fiscal 2014-15.
Chairman of Committee on Estimates (2017-18), Dr. Neikiesalie Kire presented the 127th report on action taken on the observations/recommendations contained in the 121st report of the committee on estimates pertaining to agriculture department (agri-link road), 128th report of action taken on the observations/recommendations contained in the 122nd report of the committee on estimates pertaining to power department and 129th report on action taken on the observations/recommendations contained in the 123rd report of the committee on estimates pertaining to women resource development department.
Meanwhile parliamentary secretary for transport and civil aviation, P Paiwang Konyak introduced the government bill on the Nagaland Essential Services (maintenance) Act 1978 (first amendment) bill 2017.
