NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.01 per cent up at 11,266 around 01:25 pm (IST).

Auto stocks Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.13 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.81 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.27 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.27 per cent), Exide Industries (up 0.27 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (up 0.09 per cent) were trading up in afternoon trade on Thursday.

On the contrary, shares of Ashok Leyland (down 1.84 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 1.41 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (down 1.19 per cent), MRF (down 0.87 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.56 per cent), Bosch (down 0.53 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 0.38 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.34 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.30 per cent) and Bharat Forge (down 0.18 per cent) were down.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 12 points down at 10,181, while the BSE Sensex was 45 points down at 33,008.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Tech Mahindra, Dr Reddy's Labs, HCL Technologies, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Cipla were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Tata Consultancy Services, UPL, GAIL, Bajaj Finance, Wipro and Ambuja Cements were among the losers.
