A Texas woman has been arrested after she allegedly let her 7-year-old son sit on her lap and help drive her car because she was too drunk to drive.

Carrie Lynn Fink, 41, of Lufkin, is being held at Angelina County Jail on charges of child endangerment and driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the car, both which are felonies, according to the arrest affidavit obtained by Chron.com.

Fink admitted in the affidavit that she had been drinking and let her son sit on her lap to help drive a Honda CRV Dec. 8.

An employee at 1005 South Timberland, Yvette De La Garza, told police she witnessed the accident.

"Yvette advised that she personally witnessed Carrie operating the vehicle with Clayton in her lap as the vehicle traveled erratically in the parking lot prior to the crash into a fence," the affidavit stated.

Fink was released from jail Monday on a $4,000 bond.
