Not only is it Free Shipping Day, Dec. 15 also is National Cupcake Day.

Break out your ugly Christmas sweater and pearls, because it's also National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day and National Wear Your Pearls Day, according to NationalDayCalendar.com.

Here's where to get a free treat or sweet savings:

Baked by Melissa: The first 100 customers at each location. most of which are in New York, get a free Hot Cocoa Cupcake or Christmas Cookies & Milk Cupcake. Also buy three 25-count cupcake packs and get a fourth pack free through Friday. 

Crave Cupcakes: Spend $25 Friday at the three Texas locations and get a free original-sized cupcake. Handcrafted cupcakes excluded.

Cupcake Collection: The first 100 people at the company’s Nashville and New Orleans locations get a free sweet potato cupcake Friday.

DoubleTree: This deal is related to the last sweets holiday, National Cookie Day, held earlier this month. Through Dec. 24, the Hilton hotel brand is giving guests and non-guests a free warm DoubleTree cookie for stopping by as part of its 12 Days of Cookies campaign, which started Wednesday.

Gigi’s Cupcakes: Buy one cupcake, get one free Friday at participating locations. This offer is in-bakery only and for up to six cupcakes.

NorthStarlight: This National Cupcake Day freebie is to be used when baking your own treats. Get a free pair of latex kitchen gloves Dec. 14-15 when you buy any NorthStarlight item at www.northstarlight.net. At checkout, add a message in the notes field with your glove size.

Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery: Specials vary at the cupcake chain’s 200 locations. Some locations will give away free cupcakes during certain hours and others will have buy one, get one free specials. Check with your closest location for more information.

Sprinkles: The first 50 customers in line at each bakery will receive a free limited-edition Strawberry Sprinkles Cupcake.

Wicked Good Cupcakes: Get 15% off orders Friday with promo code HOLIDAY. The cupcakes, which come in jars, were featured on Shark Tank.
