Here is a list of who may replace Bob Corker's seat in the U.S. Senate.

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn is leading the pack in terms of name recognition in Tennessee’s U.S. Senate race, a new Vanderbilt University poll finds.

The poll, released Thursday, found 73 percent of respondents recognized the Brentwood Republican's name.

Like Blackburn, name recognition for former Gov. Phil Bredesen, who is the lone Democrat in the race, remained high, with 65 percent of respondents saying they knew him.

Twenty-two percent of respondents recognized former Republican U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher's name.

The only other candidate the poll asked respondents about was James Mackler, who 10 percent  of respondents said they knew. Mackler, a Nashville attorney and Iraq War veteran, dropped out of the Democratic race Wednesday.

A geographic breakdown of name recognition found that Blackburn leads the way in two of the three major regions of Tennessee. In Middle Tennessee, 80 percent of respondents knew Blackburn, while 65 percent recognized Bredesen. Fincher trailed with 25 percent of respondents knowing him.

Similarly in West Tennessee, Blackburn led the way, with 82 percent of those surveyed knowing her name. Fifty-eight percent of respondents knew Bredesen. Fincher, who is from West Tennessee, had 46 percent.

In East Tennessee, Bredesen had the highest name recognition, with 63 percent of respondents knowing him. Fifty-eight percent of East Tennesseans knew Blackburn, followed by Fincher, who had 14 percent.

The survey did not ask respondents about who they would vote for in the race.

The poll was conducted by the Vanderbilt University Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions between Nov. 16 and Dec. 5. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points. A total of 1,013 registered Tennessee voters were surveyed.
