Eric Trump, President Trump’s son, said he recalled no one wanted to “get into” his father’s office to ask for donations more than Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., who has sparred with the president this week after calling for his resignation.
“I remember Kirsten Gillibrand when she came into his office every three days, asking for money, and asking for major campaign contributions,” Eric Trump told WABC radio host Rita Cosby. “There is no one who wanted to get into his office more than Kirsten Gillibrand.”
Gillibrand, along with other Democrats, have called on Trump to resign after several women renewed their push to publicize their allegations of sexual harassment against the president.
“These allegations are credible, they are numerous,” Gillibrand told CNN Tuesday. “I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking. President Trump should resign.”
In response, Trump attacked Gillibrand on Twitter, saying she was willing to “do anything” for donations for her campaign.
"Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office 'begging' for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!" Trump tweeted.

The tweet was widely interpreted as sexist and sexually suggestive; Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., went so far as to question whether Trump was “slut-shaming” Gillibrand.
“Are you really trying to bully, intimidate and slut-shame @SenGillibrand? Do you know who you’re picking a fight with? Good luck with that, @realDonaldTrump. Nevertheless, #shepersisted,” Warren tweeted Tuesday.

Gillibrand said Trump’s tweet had brought “shame” to the presidency and said she would not be silenced.
Gillibrand and other Democrats are calling for Trump to resign after Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., announced he would resign due to mounting allegations of sexual misconduct. Other Democrats to take up the call are Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, and Ron Wyden of Oregon. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., also called for Trump to resign.
