Ashes 2017 Live Cricket Score Australia vs England 3rd Test Day 1 Live score and updates:

1152 hrs IST: Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow have big task for themselves. England are 148 for 4 and need them to build a partnership

1134 hrs IST: WICKET! Mitchell Starc delivers the ball of the series and Mark Stoneman has to go. A lethal bouncer which takes a feather of his glove to the keeper. Tim Paine jumps and stretches his hand above his head. That is one stunning catch. Umpire says not out. Australia review and the decision is overturned. Out!

1125 hrs IST: Some lucky runs for Dawid Malan. A few outside edges that have travelled to the boundary. England need runs in whatever way they come

1108 hrs IST: WICKET! Joe Root is gone! That is a very soft dismissal. Root gets the ball down the leg-side and tries to flick to only to glove it to Tim Paine. Pat Cummins is a happy man

1058 hrs IST: A dangerous bouncer from Josh Hazlewood!

1055 hrs IST: FIFTY! Second half-century on this Ashes tour for Mark Stoneman. He has blocked one end for England. Nice innings.

1045 hrs IST: England cross the 100-run mark! Joe Root and Mark Stoneman are in the middle for England. They would like this pair to stay for long

1000 hrs IST: That will be Lunch in Perth. England are 91 for the loss of two wickets. Australia would be happy with the second wicket that they picked moments before Lunch!

0953 hrs IST: GONE! At the stroke of Lunch, Australis strike. Josh Hazlewood with a brilliant delivery to induce the outisde edge of James Vince who has been caught behind. England 89/2

0945 hrs IST:  England can enjoy this passage of play which has been particularly positive for them, undoubtedly.

0930 hrs IST: Time for some spin in Perth and that’s Nathan Lyon with the ball. He is the leading wicket-taker in 2017. Can he provide another one?

0920 hrs IST: There seems to be an uneven bounce on the pitch. Some balls are just flying past the wicketkeeper, while some are keeping too low for the batsman. Perhaps, selection of Mitchell Marsh could prove to be fruitful later in the day.

0900 hrs IST: James Vince and Mark Stoneman have got a good thing going here and England badly need the two to stick more time on the crease. Drinks have been called for and England have just lost the one wicket of Alastair Cook. ENG 58/1

0842 hrs IST: Good partnership being built here between Stoneman and Vince, much like in Adelaide. But Starc is brought back into the attack. Can he provide another wicket here?

0835 hrs IST: Mark Stoneman has looked good on the field and has already struck six boundaries. The left-hand opener is playing at a strike rate of over 100 and the runs are flowing for England, in spite of losing an early wicket. Pat Cummins replace Josh Hazlewood. Can he provide another breakthrough here?

0820 hrs IST: WICKET! That’s a ruthless delivery from Mitchell Starc and he sends off Alastair Cook back to the pavilion. That was clean plumb and the umpire raises his fingers straightway. Cook does not even take a second to walk back, not thinking about taking a review. Cook departs on 7 in his 150th Test. ENG 26/1

0810 hrs IST: It has been a steady start from both England openers. Alastair Cook, who is playing his 150th Test for the Three Lions, is looking good and handling the early onslaught from Josh Hazlewood with a cool head. Mark Stoneman is looking to be the primary aggressor of the two and has already struck four boundaries.

0755 hrs IST: England won the toss and Joe Root has decided to bat first. Australia are playing Mitchell Marsh in place of Peter Handscomb, considering another fast bowler option. England have kept the same side.
