Female Leopard who falls in 30-Foot Dry Well in Guwahati rescued

A leopard which fell down in well in a suburban area in Assam’s capital Guwahati was evacuated on Thursday following a two-hour action by local forest authorities.

The female leopard dropped into dry well in Guwahati’s Gokulnagar area on Wednesday. With the help of camera, the leopard was evacuated from well.

The video of evacuation has gone viral on the social media. It displayed Dr Bijoy Gogoi sedating the animal and falling down the dry well with the assistance of a stepladder. Later, the numb leopard was rescued with the help of rope in just two hours.

Several people reached to the spot to see leopard in the cage. He suffered no injuries during the happening.
