Louise Redknapp divides It Takes Two viewers by singing 'inappropriate' profanity

LOUISE Redknapp delivered a surprise performance on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two – and it sparked major debate on social media.

The Eternal singer performed one of her tracks from 2000, 2 Faced, for viewers ahead of her UK tour.

Louise Redknapp, 43 – who competed in Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 – took to the stage and began to sing her hit.

She belted out the lyrics: "Stop your bitchin' // 'Coz you're so sad."

It Takes Two viewers were shocked that Louise was pouring her heart out so publicly and wondered who exactly she was speaking about.

"That's a very bitter song…," one said.

"Really having a dig at people but with a sweet smile," another tweeted.

And a third asked: "Is that a secret message for someone?"

However, other viewers were simply outraged that she said "bitching" before the watershed.

2 FACED: Viewers wondered who Louise was talking about

"I'm not sure I'm happy about my 8-year-old singing stop your bitching at the top of her voice! Thanks #ItTakesTwo not appropriate for before 7pm," one snapped.

"Don't particularly think the term 'bitching' in the context used was appropriate for that time of evening...young impressionable peeps watching," another chimed in.

While a third quipped: "Two words. Bitching. Watershed."

Despite the social media controversy, Louise put on a soulful performance which left many feeling nostalgic.

Louise even gave her opinion on the final four – Gemma Atkinson, Joe McFadden, Alexandra Burke and Debbie McGee – ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing final this weekend.

When asked who she wanted to win, Louise took the diplomatic approach: "I love how Alexandra has come and attacked it every week.

"I love Joe and Katya's choreography…they're all great!"

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final kicks off on Saturday night at 6.30pm, on BBC1.
