Press employee behind DU question paper leak: CID

DHAKA: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police on Thursday claimed that they have found the involvement of a press employee in leaking DU question paper.

The accused Khan Bahadur was the employee in the printing house in Dhaka’s Indira road area, where Dhaka University ‘Gha’ unit question papers were printed but leaked before test. 

CID Special Superintendent of Police (SS) Mollya Nazrul Islam made the disclosure at a press conference in city’s Malibagh CID office on Thursday noon (Dec 14).

Nazrul Islam said police detained a man, Saiful Islam, from Jamalpur on Wednesday (Dec 13). Based on the information he provided, Khan Bahadur has been detained from city’s Indira road on Thursday morning (Dec 14).

“Saiful and Bahadur was connected. They along with another person, Rakibul Hasan, used to leak question papers in different places.”

Earlier, a total of 23 members of question paper leak and device supply syndicate have been detained by police.
