Snap Inc.'s first desktop application lets users create their own AR lenses.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, the app, called Lens Studios, is now out on Mac and PC. The software is all about making it easier for creatives to get started with AR development and build their own lenses.

Lens Studios features templates and guides to get people started, with a scripting API also available for more advanced users. After you're finished with your custom lens, you'll then be able to share a deep link or create Snapcodes for users to try it on their account via the smartphone app for 24 hours.
The app features World Lenses as well, an AR filter which brings graphics into the ‘real world’ via the camera. It has the capability of placing these graphics in a static location. You can download the app via the Lens Studio website. Snap Inc. will also host Lens Studio Challenges in 2018 where people can show off their AR creations.
