‘Vridanta’ documentary festival begins today

The film festival on biographical documentaries ‘Vridanta’ will begin at Bharat Bhavan. The documentary film festival will begin here on Thursday.

On the first day of the fest four documentaries - Asgari Bai, City of Joy, Mandu and Jeewan Rekha - will be screened.  Notably this film fest is all about art discipline and with a purpose to aware the mass about the legendry figures in various fields like literature, music, dance, movies, and more the fest is organised every year at Bharat Bhavan.

More than 10 documentaries were screened during the festival. While talking to The Pioneer, Chief Administrative Officer Prem Shankar Shukla said, “For past six-seven years we are organizing this festival. All these years, the Bhopalites visited in large number to watch the daily shows and get to know about the personalities in the field of art and culture.”

Elaborating further he said, “Bhopal is also known for the art lovers and there are many people who appreciate art in their own way. It would be interesting to know that solely Bharat Bhavan organizes such kind of fest on Art Discipline every year.”

Moreover, Bharat Bhavan always brings something new for the Bhopalites and this time a three day film festival ‘Vritanta’ captivated the attention of youngsters. While taking about the movies Shukla said, “We endeavour not to repeat any of the documentary or short movies.” 

The Vridanta film festival is one of the highly appreciated by the viewers. Every time the youngsters of the city also participated in the Vridanta film festival and enjoys the festival whole heartedly.
