The power is being restored this morning after about 15,000 homes and businesses in northeastern Ontario went dark. 

Most of Manitoulin Island is still without power and is expected to remain that way until noon. All schools on the Island are closed for the day.

The Hydro One outage map indicates as of 9:45 a.m. that nearly 11,000 customers are still affected by today's outage.
