KCSO: Pedestrian killed after being struck by car on Clinton Highway

A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle on Clinton Highway, according to a Facebook post from the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

The KCSO said in the post that an unidentified man was struck by a Ford Focus around 11:29 p.m. as it traveled southbound on Clinton Highway at Pleasant Ridge and was pronounced dead on the scene. 

His body was taken to the Regional Forensic Center for identification and to determine cause of death, the post said.

The driver of the Ford Focus was not cited or charged, according to the post.
