HERSHEY, Pa. — The Providence Bruins defeated the Hershey Bears, 3-0, on Wednesday night for their eighth win in a row.
The P-Bruins got goals from Colton Hargrove, Anton Blidh and Zach Senyshyn. Zane McIntyre made 28 saves for his first shutout of the season.
The P-Bruins got their first goal on a power play in the first period. Austin Czarnik sent the puck to Jordan Szwarz at the right goal line and he quickly sent a centering pass to Hargrove alone in front. His one-timer beat Vitek Vanecek for his eighth goal of the season.
In the third period, Blidh blasted a one-timer of Hargrove’s centering pass for his fourth goal of the season to extend the lead to 2-0 at 13:05.
Just 1:30 later, the P-Bruins got some breathing room on Senyshyn’s fourth goal of the year.
The P-Bruins play at Syracuse on Friday at 7 p.m.
