It is President Trump’s Washington, but a popular former president is still living in it.

Barack Obama, who has kept a relatively low profile in the city, dropped by the Jelleff Club on Benning Road in Northeast Washington to visit with approximately 50 middle school students. The children were participating in after-school activities at a branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.

Obama, who was dressed in a Santa hat and leather jacket, brought gifts and visited with the students and staff for half an hour Thursday.

He and former first lady Michelle Obama have made four other surprise visits to D.C. schools and community centers since leaving the White House.
