Refined soya oil futures slide 0.48 pc on profit-booking

Refined soya prices fell by 0.48 per cent to Rs 731.50 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in January declined by Rs 3.55, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 731.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 33,940 lots.


Likewise, the for delivery in December shed Rs 3.15, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 725.50 per 10 kg in 46,060 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position, weighed on refined soya prices at futures trade.
