(MENAFN) Following his indication of US being ready for talks with North Korea without precondition, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson seemed to have his word cancelled out by the White House along with his own department.

Within a day of Mr. Tillerson suggestion Tuesday, the White House and State Department came out to emphasize that prior to any talks, North Korea ought to dispose of its nuclear weapons.

In recent months, Mr. Tillerson has been at odds with the White House for a total of three times over mixed messaged.
