Fewer convictions for attempt to rape, dacoity

It's easier to get away with bigger and heinous crimes than smaller crimes in India. This is what the recent report by NCRB indicates. So small crimes like theft had a high conviction rate of 35.2% while an attempt to rape only had conviction rate of 19.7% conviction rate.
