Meeting on vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign held in Laxmipur

Laxmipur: A work plan meeting was held in the district on Thursday to make the second round of National vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign a success.

Chaired by district civil surgeon Dr. Mostafa Khaled Ahmed, district family planning deputy director and  BMA president Dr. Ashfaqur Rahman Mamun, assistant superintendent of police Khondkar Golam Shahnewaz, Sadar upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Nizam Uddin, national nutrition deputy programme manager Nazmul Hasan were the special guest of the meeting held at district civil surgeon office.

Officials of different district level offices, health and family planning department officials and employees were also present.

Vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign (second round) will be held on December 23.

Around 30,370 children aged about 6-11 months and 2,53,624  from 12 to 59 months will be fed Vitamin A capsule in 1,534 centres.

Some 3,881 field workers, 4,595 activists and 189 supervisors will be deployed in the centres during the campaign.
