TGI Fridays has over 900 outlets across the world and opened its doors to the Indian market in 1996 at Vasant Vihar with Bistro Hospitality Ltd as its master franchises for the country. Currently, the brand has 14 outlets across India. The newest outlet in Bandra, Mumbai is spread over 4700 square feet and has a seating capacity of over 160 guests at one time.

Talking to Hotelier India, Rajan Jetley mentioned that there is a lot of potential for opening more TGI Fridays outlets in the country, even in cities like Mumbai, where it already has two restaurants. At the same time, the brand would also like to tap business at emerging cities like Guwahati, where he believed there is a lot of scope for full service casual dining eateries.
