Peaky Blinders season 4: Tommy Shelby BETRAYED in shock cliffhanger - what happens next?
PEAKY BLINDERS fans were no doubt left on the edge of their seats after the penultimate episode of season four.
In tonight’s instalment, notorious gangster Alfie Solomons (played by Tom Hardy) was seen meeting with Italian mafia boss Luca Changretta (Adrien Brody).
Alfie agreed to help Luca hunt down and kill Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his family in exchange for his help shipping rum to the United States.
While Alfie has long been a loyal friend to Tommy, it looked as though he had firmly switched sides as the episode ended on a mysterious cliffhanger.
As Tommy and the Shelby family gathered for a boxing match between Alfie’s ward Goliath (Dino Kelly) and gypsy boxer Bonnie Gold (Jack Rowan), the Peaky Blinder noticed that something was amiss.

In the final moments he could be seen backing out of the room where the match would take place and wandering down an eerily lit hallway.
And as he turned the corner, the shadow of Alfie could be seen approaching - is this the moment Tommy is captured?
Things certainly don’t look promising for the leader of the Peaky Blinders as Luca appears determined to stop at nothing until he’s killed.

Fans will have to wait until next week to find out the fate of Tommy but it looks likely that it could include another explosive showdown between the two gangsters.
Also in the latest instalment, Tommy learned that Lizzie Stark (Natasha O’Keeffe) is expecting his second child after they enjoyed a steamy romp by the canal in a previous episode.
Lizzie warned him that she is keeping the baby and would not be convinced otherwise - will he step up and take care of the expectant mother?
Peaky Blinders concludes Wednesday on BBC Two at 9pm
