Soha Ali Khan launched her first book, The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, published by Penguin

The launch event on beautiful windy evening saw Soha’s khandaan in full force to cheer her on

From mother Sharmila Tagore to siblings Saba and Saif Ali Khan, to husband Kunal Khemu and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor – the clan turned up to cheer the actor-turned-author.

Their warm family ties were quite visible even when they were on stage, reading excerpts from the book and sharing anecdotes from Soha Ali Khan’s life.

Soha Ali Khan’s debut book, published by Penguin India, is a collection of personal essays where she recounts with self-deprecating humour what it was like growing up in one of the most illustrious families of the country. With never before published photos from her family’s archives,

The Perils of Being Moderately Famous promises to take us through some of the most poignant moments of Soha’s life – From growing up as a modern-day princess and her days at Balliol College to life as a celebrity in the times of social media culture and finding love in the most unlikely of places.

‘Having read a few chapters, I can safely say Soha was born to write. She has amassed a huge fan following not only for her movies but also for her witty repartee on Twitter, and her charm and wit continue to shine in this brilliant collection of personal essays where she recounts with self-deprecating humour some of the most poignant moments of her life—from growing up as a modern-day princess to life as a celebrity in the times of social media culture.’said Gurveen Chadha, Commissioning Editor,Penguin
