Two Neo JMB suspects held

Police arrested two suspected operatives of Neo JMB, an ultra radical offshoot of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from Naogaon's Atrai upazila on Monday night.

The arrestees are Md Robiul Islam alias Ripon, 32, son of Rafiq Ullah of Nawduli village, and Md Parvez Gaddafi, 21, son of Md Aziz Gaddafi of Bhor Tetulia village.

Mobarak Hossain, officer-in-charge of Atrai Police Station, said, on secret information, police raided Kashiagari Sluice Gate area around 10:00pm and arrested the duo.  

Police also seized a few books on jihad from their possession, said the OC.

The arrestees were later produced before a court that sent them to jail, said the police official.
