In a bid to facilitate pilgrims going to Patna Sahib in Bihar on the occasion of concluding ceremony of 350th Prakashotsav of Guru Gobind Singh from December 22 to 25, Haryana Government will arrange two trains from Ambala and Sirsa on December 22.
The city magistrate in each district has been appointed as nodal officer for this visit, said Sameer Pal Srow, Director, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana, while presiding over meeting with officers of District Administration through a video conference here.
The train from Ambala would leave at 10:30 am on December 22 and would reach Patna at 3 pm on December 23, via Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Delhi. Similarly, the train from Sirsa would also leave at the same time on December 22 and would reach Patna at 5 pm on December 23, via Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Delhi.
Srow said that the respective district level committee constituted for this purpose would select maximum 140 pilgrims in each district and the government's decision in this regard would be finalized.
The government would make adequate arrangements for food and accommodation of pilgrims. Interested pilgrims could submit their applications in the office of Deputy Commissioner concerned latest by 5 pm on December 19, added he.
