NEW DELHI: Over 10 stocks, including Bharati Defence and Infrastructure, Diligent Media Corporation, Electrotherm (India), Max India, PTC India Financial Services and Shilpi Cable Technologies hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE in Wednesday's trade.

On the contrary, over 50 stocks, including Balkrishna Industries, GAIL (India), GM Breweries, Hinduja Ventures and Hindustan Unilever hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE.

Equity benchmarks were trading up, erasing the losses of the morning session. The Nifty50 index was 40 points up at 10,280, while the BSE Sensex was 125 points up at 33,353 around 1 pm (IST).

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 36 were in the green, while 13 were in the red. One stock appeared unchanged.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharti Infratel and Eicher Motors were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Vedanta, HCL Tech, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid and Cipla were among the losers.
