Govt failed on all fronts: Gehlot

| Updated: Dec 13, 2017, 23:51 IST
Jaipur: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said that the BJP government has tarnished the reputation of the state nationally and brought shame on its glorious history under its rule.

Gehlot questioned the four-year celebrations challenging the government to spell out its achievements. What has achieved in the four years to celebrate, he asked.

While discussing about the corruption and scams, rising unemployment and women security, Gehlot called the present government has failed on all fronts.

He said, corruption and nepotism flourished during the BJP rule. There is no law and order, rapes and heinous crimes against women and children have become the order of the day under a woman chief minister. Hundreds of people have died due to outbreak of seasonal diseases and schools are being shut. Walking on the roads is like getting in to death traps, he said.

It is a regrettable that both ruling and Opposition leaders in private agree but remains helpless. He said, this government has been pulled up by the courts like Supreme Court and high court like never before.

Refinery in Barmer, Memo coach factory in Bhilwara, Metro Phase II, Dungarpur-Banswara- Ratlam Railways line, all big projects still remain a pipedream, he said.
