Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan questioned Punjab province over the absence of idols in various Hindu temples. The court told the provincial administration that it has scant consideration towards the sentiments of the Hindus.

"What impression of Pakistan would they (Hindu community) have if they do not find idols in the temple," the court asked.

The apex court made these observations while hearing a petition on a pond drying up at the famous Katas Raj Temples in Chakwal. It also made comments on Islamic belief where idolatry is considered a sin.
